Dr. Fred MBE

Dr Fred McSorley or The Flying doc has been appointed MBE for services to medicine in Northern Ireland in this year’s birthday honors list. Fred is affectionately known as the flying doc for his exploits as a medical team member of the Motorcycle Union of Ireland (MCUI). Fred joins others medical staff to provide rapid emergency response across Ireland North & South and over the years has responded to a wide variety of accidents on and off the track and is frequently mentioned by name in acknowledgment by organisers, riders and their families. Loughshinny Motorcycle supporters club congratulate Dr Fred on his appointment, and thank him for his many years of support at our events and we look forward to welcoming him to Skerries in the near future.
