Skerries bikes back in 1930's

Resurrected from the vaults of Pathé News, rare moments lost in time as racing motor cycles tore through the town for the movies ……back in the 1930’s. WELL over three quarters or a century ago, liability insurance doesn’t seem to have been much of an issue.  Skerries people were made of such stern stuff they allowed the roaring racing motorcycles of the time ...

Attention Riders - other rule changes

Mixed Class races Traditionally if a race was mixed class, the riders would practice and then be grided in separate groups for the class. In particular this happened in the 125cc and/or 250cc if 400cc bikes were included.   This was deemed dangerous and this year it has been agreed that grid positions for mix class races will be based on practice results and not class of machine. Prize...

Eddie Laycock and Eugene Laverty make a memorable visit to the Historic Skerries 100

Eddie arrived at the circuit at arou...
