Spectator information

The Historic Skerries 100 attracts thousands of regular visitors from Ireland and overseas, many make the annual ‘pilgrimage’ to North County Dublin to enjoy the renowned hospitality of the area and watch pure road racing at its very best amidst some of the best scenery in the County. The influx of visitors brings a festive mood to the picturesque seaside village of Skerries and gives the local economy a welcome boast with Pubs, restaurants, shops and B&B’s reporting one of their busiest weekends of the year. With the event now drawing in more than 30,000 spectators every year the locals find themselves outnumbered by 2 to 1 for a couple of days each July.

A number of activities take place during the week leading up to the event. Local pubs normally have live entertainment on each night of the week. Local restaurants and Cafés are open for breakfast and offer full menus all day, one or two even advertise a 'bikers breakfast'!

By Road

From the South & West
Head North on the M1. Come off the motorway at the Lissenhall junction and follow the signposts for N1 and North. Approximately 3 Kilometres from the Lissenhall junction, look out for “Blakes Cross service station” on your left, immediately after the service station you’ll be taking a right onto the R127. Follow the R127 until you reach the village of LUSK where you’ll find the road closed signs and probably a couple of officers of the Garda Síochána. Pass through the road closer and continue carefully towards the circuit, from this point on the R127 is used for parking and access to the event only. The earlier you arrive the closer you’ll be able to park to the circuit. Please show consideration when parking in this area, this route is used for emergency access and there must be enough space left to allow traffic to pass. Click below for more detailed route plans.

Waterford to Skerries | Cork to Skerries | Galway to Skerries

From the North
ead South on the M1. You have the option to exit the motorway at the Balbriggan junction or continue onto the Lissenhall junction (see above). If you exit at the Balbriggan junction you will have to follow the N1 South through Balbriggan. In Balbriggan centre you need to keep a sharp lookout for a left hand turn directly opposite the Allied Irish Bank, on your right, which will take you onto the R127. A few hundred meters further on you need to make another left which will take you over the railway bridge and immediately onto a T-junction.

Turn right at the T-junction and follow the R127 coast road into Skerries. When you arrive in Skerries you will come upon another T-junction this time controlled by traffic lights, turn right here and head out of Skerries still on the R127. At the roundabout turn right, under the railway bridge where you should find the road closed signs. Continue with caution from this point as the road is used for parking and emergency access to the circuit. Click below for more detailed route plans.
